Ozone Coffee is an international specialty coffee company based in London + New Zealand with a purpose to lead enduring change in the way coffee is valued, grown, produced and enjoyed, responsibly for the future.
They supply beans to hundreds of independent coffee shops and restaurants around the world and operate two well loved cafes in East London.
The Ozone St. Leonards Street roastery + eatery was one of our first amenity account customers and their second site (near London Fields) is only a few minutes walk from our laboratory so we’d wanted to work together on a collaboration for a while.
Our shared value of ‘sustainability always’ led us to explore the waste produced on-site at each roastery. Spent espresso grounds are no longer good for drinking but still contain significant levels of skin boosting antioxidants + caffeine so collected waste spent espresso grounds from their sites at the end of each day to bring back to our laboratory, process and re-purpose into a nourishing + exfoliating body scrub.
