MONTAMONTA is a sustainable skincare company based in East London.
all of our products are produced in-house from our shipping container laboratory in Hackney with an ethos of plants + science and supplied in recyclable and refillable packaging as standard.
we like to make use of both hyper-locally sourced + waste raw materials in our formulations:
spent espresso grounds are no longer good for drinking but still contain significant levels of skin boosting antioxidants + caffeine. we collect waste grounds from local coffee shops to process + repurpose into our sage + coffee body scrub.
the beeswax used in our all-purpose balm formulation comes from the London Honey Co., urban beekeepers who look after hives in wild corners of the city and on the rooftops of the Tate Modern + Fortnum and Mason.
as a brand we love to collaborate:
we recently worked with our friends in West London, M.i.h. Jeans, to produce a refresh spray for their premium denim - designed to reduce the carbon + water involved in washing clothes, and produced products for Petersham Nurseries, inspired by their glasshouse in Richmond.
a number of bars, restaurants, cafes and studios stock our signature hand products in their washrooms. our hand products are supplied in glass bottles as standard but we also supply big, litre, refill bottles to our amenity account customers which we then collect, clean, refill + re-deliver once empty, saving thousands of bottles from the bin each year.
we don’t believe in the term ‘natural’ (read more) and prefer to explain our ethos as plants + science.
our primary objective is to ensure MONTAMONTA products are made from premium quality ingredients. we like to formulate with botanically based ingredients but don't shy away from well-chosen laboratory made raw materials.
